Red Kite Park
A natural play space in Lewknor, Oxfordshire
Anthony Stiff Associates worked closely with a local resident group to develop designs for a new play area in Lewknor, Oxfordshire.
The rural location leant itself to a 'naturalistic' design approach. The design incorporated timber play equipment from a variety of suppliers, within a landscaped setting.
The focal point of the design is a sculpted mound and climb structure, providing a challenging play feature appealling to multiple age groups.
We ran a competitive tender process to choose the best contractor for the job and supervised the whole installation process.
Construction work started in early 2010 and the park was officially opened in May 2010.
